Mystery ute with the changing numberplates

A white Toyota Landcruiser 4WD ute failed to stop after a collision on the Barton Highway near the Gungahlin Drive overpass on Thursday afternoon.

At the time, the ute had a Victorian registration plate of FPX351.

Police believe it was also involved in an attempted burglary in Phillip on Tuesday. At that time it had a NSW registration, 59644J.

They say the driver may be changing licence plates.

Anyone who can identify the man should contact the Crime Stoppers ACT website
