Man charged over three-month stealing spree

A 27-year-old Duffy man is facing charges of stealing goods totalling $20,000 from multiple retail stores across the ACT over the past three months.

Police allege the man has stolen or attempted to steal from 13 retail stores in September, October and November.

He is alleged to have stolen items such as an inflatable spa, televisions, a tent, a portable fridge freezer, a barbecue, an outside heater, a range of electrical items and fuel estimated to total $20,000.

Police searched his Duffy home on Tuesday afternoon and arrested him.

He was later charged with 12 counts of minor theft, four counts of theft and three counts of attempt minor theft.
