Man arrested for indecent assault of 12-year-old girl

A 47-year-old Sri Lankan national has been charged with exposing himself to and indecently touching a 12-year-old girl at a pond in Bonner.

On April 12, the girl was fishing when she saw a man, not known to her, allegedly expose himself. Police allege she was later approached by the man and who sat next to her and indecently touched her.

The incident was reported to police at the end of April, and following extensive efforts to identify and locate the alleged offender, the man was arrested at his place of work on Friday. He faces charges of an act of indecency on person under 16-years-old, indecent exposure and common assault.
