Man accused of assaulting pregnant partner

A 33-year-old Richardson man is accused of assaulting his partner, including while she was pregnant, strangling her, threatening to kill her and breaching a family violence order between 2022 and 2025.

Police found a knife and taser during a search of the man’s home on Friday morning.

He was arrested and charged with five counts of common assault, two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, choking/suffocating/strangling another person, using a carriage service to threaten to kill, and contravening a family violence order.
