Explosives, drugs and ammunition were found by police during a vehicle search in Wanniassa on Sunday.

About 4pm police located a White Mazda 2 in a carpark at the Erindale shops before searching it later in the evening.

During the search they report finding:

• About 260 grams of methamphetamine – equating to approximately 2600 “hits” of the drug.
• A small amount of cocaine.
• Two shotgun cartridges.
• Ten .22 rounds of ammunition.
• A machete.
• A taser.
• About 300 grams of ammonium nitrate in a pipe – (explosives).

Police say no charges have been laid, but enquiries into the seized items are continuing.
