Chifley man charged over child exploitation material

A 46-year-old man has been charged with possessing child exploitation material following search of his Chifley home on Wednesday.

Police acted on a referral from the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation following the alleged uploading of child exploitation material.

Police say multiple electronic devices allegedly containing child exploitation material were seized.

The man has been charged with two counts of possession of child-abuse material and two counts of using a carriage service for child abuse material.

Due to previous convictions, the man had reporting obligations to the ACT Child Sex Offender Registry Team. The man allegedly failed to report changes of details as he was required to and was also charged with being in breach of those obligations.
