Car missing for a month found in Weston

A car, stolen on October 10 from a home in Casey, was found abandoned in a school car park in Weston on Friday night. A man was arrested nearby.

That morning, police say they had spotted the grey 2016 Holden Astra driving through red lights at high speed at the intersection of John Gorton Drive and Cotter Road, Wright. A brief pursuit was initiated, but quickly terminated due to the risk to public safety.

Anyone who saw the vehicle or has dashcam footage from the areas of John Gorton Drive, Streeton Drive, Coombs, Wright, or Weston between 7.45pm and 8.30pm on November 7 should call 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
