Car drives on after skittling motorcyclist

The driver of a Commodore sedan failed to stop and exchange details with an injured rider following a collision between a car and motorcycle in Fraser.

The 19-year-old male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics before being taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police and emergency services were called to the collision between a black Honda CBR motorcycle and a silver Holden Commodore VE sedan at the intersection of Tillyard Drive and Kerrigan Street in Fraser at about 9pm on May 7.

Police say Commodore driver didn’t stop and exchange details with the motorcycle rider. The car was subsequently seized for forensic examination after being found abandoned in Charnwood.

Police are seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage of the silver Holden Commodore VE that may have had ACT registration YHL33G.
