Alleged shoplifter with a taste for a tipple or three

Police want to identify a man following an alleged shoplifting incident at a liquor store in Woden last week.

The inhouse CCTV recording suggests he took several bottles of wine before leaving without paying at around 1.30pm on Wednesday.

Police allege the man has been involved in multiple shoplifting incidents this year, with the total value of stolen items exceeding $3500.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, in his 30s, with short brown hair, a medium build and about 170cm tall. He was wearing beige pants, a white long-sleeved top layered with a grey vest, and white sneakers.
