Accused shoplifter also on drug charges

A 42-year-old woman has been charged with minor theft and drug offences after allegedly stealing items from a Dickson grocery store on Monday.

Police searched her bag outside the store and say they located numerous stolen items.

The woman, who was also in breach of good behaviour obligations, was taken to the Watch House, where a subsequent search revealed two small bags suspected of being methamphetamine and cannabis.

The woman has been charged with minor theft and possessing drugs of dependence.
