Child-abuse material charge after photo printing discovery

A 36-year-old Wamboin woman has been charged with possessing child-abuse material after alleged child exploitation images were discovered at a Belconnen photo printing business.

Police allege the woman attempted to print images at the business on Wednesday afternoon.

Due to a malfunction with the printing equipment, the images were not produced and the woman was refunded before leaving the store.

Staff called the police after reviewing the failed print jobs, allegedly identifying multiple child-exploitation images.

Following enquiries, police stopped a vehicle in Holt on Friday afternoon and arrested the 36-year-old woman.

She has been charged with one count of aggravated possession of child exploitation material.
