A 49-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into allegations he sexually abused his young daughter.

Police allege the abuse occurred between 2013 and 2018 at the man’s residence in Wanniassa.

In August 2023, police were alerted to the alleged assaults and a warrant for his arrest was issued in March 2024. He was extradited from western Sydney in early April.

He has been charged with persistent sexual abuse of a child under special care and an act of indecency against a child under 10 years of age.
