A man was taken to hospital after he was allegedly assaulted outside a fast-food outlet in Charnwood last month.

About 5.40pm on March 6, the man was allegedly assaulted by another man outside the entrance of Red Rooster at the Charnwood shops.

The offender then left the scene in a white BMW X5, bearing ACT registration YSK72Y.

There were a number of people and vehicles in the area at the time, and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.
