Police want to speak with a woman who intervened in a family violence incident in Civic on Saturday.

Police say that at about 4pm, a man allegedly assaulted a woman inside a car parked outside the Lena Karmel lodge on Barry Drive.

Another woman approached the vehicle and spoke to the occupants before the man got out and the victim drove away.

The incident was reported and police want to speak to the woman who intervened in the assault. Police say the woman is not in any trouble.
