Motorcyclist’s death lifts road toll to eight

A 22-year-old motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision on Brindabella Road late on Wednesday afternoon.

This is the eighth road death in the ACT this year and the fourth involving a motorcycle.

Police say emergency services were called to Brindabella Road south of the Uriarra Village about 4.50pm after the motorbike collided with a Honda SUV.

Despite the efforts of witnesses and ambulance paramedics, the man died at the scene.

Anyone who has dashcam footage of the area between 4pm and 4.50pm should provide their contact details to the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
