Man comes forward over war memorial sculpture damage

Police were looking for this man in relation to damage to a sculpture at the war memorial.

UPDATE: Tuesday am – Police report the man has come forward and is assisting them with their enquiries.

Police are looking for help in identifying a man who they believe damaged a sculpture with a sharp instrument in the grounds of the Australian War Memorial at about 2.20pm on October 23.

Police has issued a security image of the man who they describe as Caucasian in appearance, with a large build and shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and long brown pants.

Anyone who can assist can contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
