Bonython man accused of threatening Sydney lawyer

A 43-year-old Bonython man, already before the court for similar offences, has been accused of making threats against a Sydney-based criminal defence lawyer.

Police allege the man left threatening voicemails on the phone of a defence lawyer in August.

The incident was reported to NSW Police and referred to ACT police after enquiries linked the man to the calls.

His home was searched on October 29, when police seized a mobile phone in relation to a separate investigation.

On Saturday night he was arrested and charged with using a carriage service to menace.
