Man charged with forcing partner to consume drugs

A 34-year-old Watson man has been charged with slapping his then partner and forcing her to consume drugs.

Police allege that between April and July the man coerced the woman into consuming drugs on three separate occasions, despite her repeatedly declining.

On September 28, police allege, the man slapped her in the face and damaged a wall and floorboards at her home.

The woman reported the incidents and on Wednesday night police arrested the man at a residence in Watson.

He has been charged with three counts of administering a drug dangerous to a person, two counts of aggravated common assault and two counts of property damage.
