Hawker man accused of biting and choking woman

A 20-year-old Hawker man, subject to a good behaviour order, has been arrested, accused of forcibly confining, threatening and physically assaulting a woman multiple times, including biting and choking her.

Police arrested the man in Hawker on Thursday afternoon.

He has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm; two counts of aggravated common assault; demands accompanied by threats; forcible confinement; choking, suffocating and strangling another person; and aggravated choking of a person and rendering them insensible.
