Man arrested but stolen guns still missing

A 32-year-old man on bail was arrested on Tuesday following the theft of a rifle and two modified handguns stolen from a home on August 31. The stolen guns have not been located.

Police say the handguns have been modified for competition use and hold a risk of severe injuries if used incorrectly.

The man has been charged with burglary, theft, unauthorised possession of firearms, providing false name and two counts of attempting to escape from custody.
