A 36-year-old Lyneham woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her former partner in the shoulder with a fork on Monday.
She has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Meanwhile, five men over the past 24 hours are also facing domestic violence charges before the Magistrates Court:
- A 38-year-old Higgins man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a family member under the age of 10 in March last year. Police searched his home on Monday charged the man with grooming a young person, an aggravated act of indecency and aggravated sexual intercourse with a person under 10 years old.
- A 59-year-old man has been charged with six counts of aggravated common assault and choking/strangling another person after allegedly pushing his partner’s head into the bonnet of her car, shoving the woman against walls inside the home multiple times, causing a window to smash and kneeing her in the stomach. He was also charged with aggravated damage property.
- A 19-year-old Richardson man was arrested on Monday night after allegedly smashing the bedroom window of his former partner and assaulting her friend with a hand saw. He was charged with aggravated damage property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
- A 57-year-old Oaks Estate man was arrested on Tuesday morning after allegedly grasping and squeezing the throat and assaulting a family member last week. He has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and choking/strangling/suffocating another person.
- A 39-year-old Denman Prospect man has also been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm after allegedly striking his partner on the head multiple times on Monday night.
