
A 29-year-old Hawker man has been charged with aggravated robbery and multiple knife offences after allegedly stealing from a bottle shop in Belconnen.
Police allege the man entered the bottle shop and then left with a stolen item at around 3pm on Monday.
Two security staff followed the man and asked for the stolen item to be returned. The man then allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the two men twice.
A police search of the man revealed he was in possession of 14 knives in a duffle bag, and two knives within his clothing.
He has been charged with aggravated robbery, possessing an offensive weapon with intent and 15 counts of possessing a knife without reasonable excuse.
