Police dogs sniff out dirt bike rider

Police dogs sniffed out a man – who was subject to a good behaviour order – hiding in bushes after the stolen dirt bike he was riding was dumped in Oxley on Saturday night.

The 40-year-old Narrabundah man has been charged with multiple traffic offences after allegedly failing to stop for police. The orange and black KTM dirt bike was not displaying a registration plate while travelling on Drakeford Drive in Oxley.

He was subjected to a drug screening test and oral fluid analysis, which the man refused to undertake.

The man, who does not hold a driver’s licence, faces the Magistrates Court on Monday morning charged with with riding a motor vehicle without consent, failing to stop for police, refusing to undergo a screening test, refusing to provide an oral fluid sample, unlicensed driver and riding a unregistered vehicle.
