Jetstar has credited the use of ground-breaking AI technology for a reduction in flight delays and cancellations.
Jetstar has partnered with Airbus’ Skyways platform, which monitors real-time data from the plane to predict and prevent maintenance issues before they occur.
The use of this artificial intelligence will allow maintenance work overnight with spare parts at the ready, to minimise problems for passengers.
Unscheduled maintenance actually becomes a scheduled maintenance plan – or “predictive maintenance”, which Jetstar says has already prevented 40 cancellations.
