A 33-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing last month.
While at his former partner’s home in Chapman, the man began arguing with a neighbour before allegedly pulling out a knife and stabbing him several times on the night of March 30.
He then allegedly struck his former partner and kicked her in the face before taking her mobile phone and leaving.
The stabbed man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the 33-year-old man on April 2 for unrelated offences, but has been subsequently charged with attempted murder, aggravated common assault and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
