A 27-year-old woman has been charged with sexual offences after allegedly grooming and engaging in sexual acts with a teenage boy known to her.

Police allege the woman engaged in multiple sexual acts with the boy between September 24 and October 12.

The alleged incidents were reported to police on Tuesday and the woman was arrested about 9.45pm that night.

She has been charged with four counts of sexual intercourse with a young person and one count of grooming a young person in person.
