A Spence woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting two retail workers and damaging property at a Belconnen department store on Wednesday.
Police allege the 37-year-old became involved in an altercation with staff about 11.50am before repeatedly shouting at and assaulting a worker.
She allegedly damaged several items in the store before assaulting a second employee, prompting members of the public to intervene.
Police and security officers arrested the woman inside the store.
The woman, who was subject to good behaviour obligations, has been charged with two counts of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, property damage and affray.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not spoken to police is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
