A 16-year-old boy has had his trail bike seized after police responded to reports of motorcycles being ridden through several Belconnen suburbs on Saturday afternoon.

Police located two motorcycles and their riders at the rear of the Melba shops. One rider fled the scene, while the other was unable to restart his trail bike.

The motorcycle was seized, police say, because it was unroadworthy, unregistrable and the rider didn’t hold a licence.

Investigations are continuing and charges may be laid.
