A 17-year-old boy has been charged over a collision on Yamba Drive in Mawson that left a man with life-threatening injuries last month.

Police and emergency services responded to the collision between a Toyota HiLux and Kia Sportage about 6.35am on August 26.

The 54-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries, while the 17-year-old boy was seriously injured. Both were taken to hospital.

Following an investigation by the Major Collision Team, the boy was issued with a court attendance notice on Monday.

He has been charged with culpable driving causing grievous bodily harm.
