The Spilt Milk music festival will remain in Canberra until at least 2030 under a new five-year agreement signed between the ACT government and event organiser Kicks Entertainment.

The government says the agreement follows increased spending on its Major Event Fund in the 2026-27 ACT Budget.

Since launching in Canberra in 2016, the festival has generated an estimated $127 million in economic activity.

Its return in 2025 attracted more than 45,000 people and generated an estimated $30.2 million, with hotel occupancy reaching 95 per cent on festival night.

Chief Minister Andrew Barr says the agreement provides long-term certainty for the festival and supports Canberra’s hospitality, accommodation and tourism sectors.

This year’s Spilt Milk will be held at Exhibition Park in Canberra on Saturday, December 12, with performers including Lewis Capaldi, RAYE, Baby Keem, KETTAMA, Maisie Peters, Remi Wolf and DMA’S.

Tickets and further information are available through the Spilt Milk website.
