Sledgehammer used in golf club cash grab

The Murrumbidgee Country Club… offenders allegedly broke through multiple locked doors using a sledgehammer before stealing cash.

Police are investigating a burglary at the Murrumbidgee Country Club golf course in Kambah after offenders allegedly used a sledgehammer to force their way into a building and steal a large sum of cash.

About 2.45am on Tuesday, police received reports of two people entering a building at the golf course.

The offenders allegedly broke through multiple locked doors using a sledgehammer before stealing cash and fleeing the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity near the Murrumbidgee Golf Course or along Kambah Pool Road around 2.45am on Tuesday is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
