Road rage allegedly forces L-plater off road

A learner driver was forced off the road in Gungahlin earlier this month after an alleged road rage incident involving another driver.

About 6.30pm on March 3 the driver of a grey Audi SQ5 with ACT registration YSP35Z allegedly began behaving aggressively toward the learner driver of a white Mitsubishi Lancer at the roundabout of Kingsland Parade and Clarrie Hermes Drive.

The Audi then collided with the Mitsubishi on Clarrie Hermes Drive, forcing it off the road. The Audi driver did not stop.

The driver is described as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage of the Audi interacting with the Mitsubishi, to come forward.

This includes a witness who spoke with the Audi driver at the intersection of Clarrie Hermes Drive and the Barton Highway shortly after the collision.

Anyone who can assist is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website
