Armed robbery at Higgins chemist

A man allegedly threatened staff with a firearm and stole medication during an armed robbery at the Advantage Chemist in Higgins on Thursday morning.

At about 11.10, the man entered the Fullagar Crescent store and allegedly demanded medication while brandishing a firearm.

Staff complied and the man left the scene on a bicycle. No one was physically injured during the incident.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance with a solid build. He was wearing a grey top, black pants and a black backpack at the time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dash-cam footage from the vicinity of Fullagar Crescent in Higgins between 10.50am and 11.20am on Thursday, to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
