A 38-year-old Reid man has been charged with drug trafficking and money laundering after police allegedly found about 600 grams of suspected cocaine and a large amount of cash at his home.

Police said investigators had been gathering evidence during 2026 about the alleged distribution of illicit drugs in the ACT.

On Friday, police searched the man’s Reid home, allegedly finding about 600 grams of white powder suspected of being cocaine, numerous vials of steroids, scales, a large amount of cash, small clip-seal bags and three mobile phones.

Police allege an examination of the phones found evidence consistent with drug trafficking.

The 38-year-old was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis, trafficking in a trafficable quantity of cannabis and money laundering.

The arrest came a day after a 44-year-old O’Connor man was charged with drug trafficking and other offences following a search of his home as part of the investigation.
