Police seize cash, firearm and drugs in Belconnen

Cash, firearms and drugs were seized and a 48-year-old Belconnen man charged following a search of his home on Thursday night.

Police found about $40,000 in cash, two loaded firearms, ammunition, cannabis and suspected methamphetamine.

A small scale, clip-seal bags, a currency counter and cryptocurrency valued at about $100,000 were also seized.

The man has been charged with trafficking in cannabis, unauthorised possession of firearms, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of property suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
