Police seek owner of military medals found in Giralang

Police are appealing for help to identify the owner of several military medals and badges found in a grassland reserve in Canberra’s north.

A member of the public dropped the find into the Belconnen Police Station on Tuesday after discovering a small carry case containing old military badges and medals.

The case had been found in the grassland reserve next to the Barton Highway in Giralang.

Police are now seeking to locate the rightful owner of the items.

Anyone who believes the medals may belong to them and can prove ownership is asked to contact police via the crimestoppersact.com.au website or on 1800 333000.
