A 41-year-old woman is the ACT’s third road fatality of the year following a single-vehicle crash in O’Malley.

About 12.50 on Saturday afternoon, police and emergency services were called to Yamba Drive near the intersection with Mawson Drive after a grey SUV left the roadway and ran into a tree.

The woman died at the scene. A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage to contact them via the ACT Crime Stoppers website.
