Motorcycle burnouts: man charged with endangering children

A 43-year-old man has been charged after police allege he endangered young children by performing burnouts on motorbikes with them and failing to securely store a firearm.

Police allege that between 2023 and 2025, the man took his children, aged three and nine months, unrestrained on dirt bikes and in vehicles while performing burnouts and driving dangerously.

It is further alleged the man allowed his three-year-old child to play with a firearm and repeatedly failed to store the weapon safely, leaving it unsecured near the children.

On April 25, the man allegedly breached a family violence order by contacting his former partner and was arrested.

He has been charged with four counts of neglecting a child, as well as failing to comply with firearms storage requirements, carrying a firearm in an improper manner, and not using a child restraint.
