Man spat on and kicked at tram stop

A man has been allegedly kicked and spat on during an incident at the Gungahlin Marketplace light rail stop on Friday night, causing “significant injuries”.

Police report that between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, the man was standing at the tram stop when he was approached by a group of youths.

The group asked him for a cigarette. When he declined, one of the youths allegedly kicked and spat on him.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact police on 1800 333000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
