Man charged with biting, strangling partner

A 25-year-old Hughes man, who was on parole, has been charged after allegedly kicking, biting and strangling his partner.

Police say they were called to a residence in Hughes at about 3pm on Friday and arrested the man a short time later.

He is charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated common assault, and choking, suffocating or strangling another person.
