A 38-year-old man, who was subject to an outstanding arrest warrant, has been charged with assaulting two security guards at Canberra Centre.

About 4.45pm on Saturday, police received reports that a man allegedly punched, kicked and struck two security guards before leaving the scene on foot.

A short time later they arrested him on London Circuit.

The man has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, breaching good behaviour obligations and failing to appear after a bail undertaking.
