A 33-year-old Turner man has been charged after allegedly damaging property and repeatedly kicking a police officer in the chest on Friday.
Police were called to a Turner housing complex about 10.15am following reports a man had damaged an electronic swipe access reader and a fire panel.
Officers found the man nearby and allege he became aggressive when told he was under arrest, repeatedly kicking one officer in the chest.
He has been charged with two counts of destroying property, assaulting a frontline community service provider and resisting a territory public official.
