A 54-year-old Monash man has been charged after allegedly threatening an officer with a knife inside Woden Police Station on Sunday morning.
Police allege the man entered the station’s front office about 10.45am and demanded officers pay for a taxi to his home.
When officers refused, the man allegedly continued making demands before pulling a 22-centimetre knife from a bag.
He allegedly approached an officer while brandishing the knife and made threats.
Police negotiated with the man, who eventually put the knife down before being arrested.
He has been charged with possessing a knife without reasonable excuse, making demands accompanied by threats, and breaching good behaviour obligations.
