Police are seeking witnesses after a Hyundai allegedly collided with another vehicle in Griffith and was driven erratically on Tuesday night.

The blue Hyundai i30 collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Canberra Avenue and State Circle about 8.35pm before allegedly leaving without exchanging details.

Police also received reports of the Hyundai being driven erratically before and after the collision.

The car was found later that evening and the driver was taken into custody.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage of the Hyundai, bearing ACT registration YPL09H, being driven erratically is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
