Former manager faces 12 more sex charges

A 44-year-old former retail manager has been charged with 12 additional offences after more complainants came forward over alleged offending involving junior employees at Belconnen stores.

The man was first charged in April over the alleged assault and indecent acts involving two teenage employees at his O’Connor home in October 2017.

Police allege he used his position as the girls’ manager to change shifts so he could work with them.

Following further investigations under Operation Foster, police say additional complainants have come forward, resulting in 12 new charges.

The additional charges include eight counts of an act of indecency with a person under 16, along with common assault, reckless threat to kill, using the internet to deprave young people, and supplying liquor to a young person in a public place.
