An elderly woman has died following a house fire in Hughes early on Saturday morning.
At about 1.20am, police and fire personnel were called to the house fire. The home was well alight.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze, however the sole occupant, the elderly woman, was found dead inside the home.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and investigations are ongoing.
