A 22-year-old Palmerston man has lost his licence after allegedly driving at 150km/h in an 80km/h zone on Gungahlin Drive on Thursday night.

Police detected the Mazda 3 about 11pm and stopped the driver, who allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.

Checks also revealed the car was unregistered.

The man’s licence was immediately suspended for 180 days.

He has been charged with drink driving, using an unregistered vehicle and exceeding the speed limit.
