Dog stolen in domestic violence incident

A 27-year-old woman has been charged with family violence offences after allegedly stealing her partner’s dog and hitting him with her car.

Police say the woman took her partner’s dog from his home at about 10.20pm on Wednesday.

Later that night, the man went to the woman’s home in Dunlop to recover the dog. Police allege the woman then deliberately drove her car at him, causing him to fall to the ground.

Ambulance paramedics treated the man for his injuries.

The woman was arrested and has been charged with burglary, reckless driving, failing to stop after a collision and aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
