Cyclist killed in Gungahlin Drive collision

A 32-year-old woman has died and two other cyclists have been injured after a car collided with a group of cyclists on Gungahlin Drive early Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Gungahlin Drive between Wells Station Drive and Kosciuszko Avenue about 6.20am.

Bystanders and paramedics provided first aid, but the 32-year-old woman died at the scene.

Two other cyclists were taken to hospital, one in a critical condition.

The death is the 10th on ACT roads this year.

The driver of the blue Hyundai Accent is assisting police, while the Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage of the Hyundai before the crash is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
