The ACT Government has said that the construction of the new South Tuggeranong Health Centre in Conder has been completed, with the facility expected to open to patients by the end of the year.

The centre will provide diabetes clinics, pathology collection, community paediatrics, falls and injury prevention programs, community nursing and virtual care.

It has 10 consultation rooms, spaces for group exercise and education sessions, 30 client parking spaces, two accessible parking spaces and bicycle racks.

The ACT government’s 2026-27 Budget allocated more than $4 million over four years to operate the centre.

About 40 full-time equivalent staff will transfer from existing Canberra Health Services facilities to the new centre, with the exception of pathology services.

The centre, near Lanyon Marketplace and public transport, will open following final testing, commissioning and compliance checks.
